Petra Pastorová took bronze in China
20. 11. 2018
A race in China is a kind of exotic experience. And the Chinese Changan Ford Ultra-Challenge 50 km race was not an exception. Despite the warm weather, time difference and insufficient acclimatization, I was fairly successful here!
The track was full of turnings, rice fields, the smell of garlic and your every step was watched by fully armed policemen. A combination you cannot get anywhere else but here. I finished third in the race and I am really satisfied with that.
I am glad I also had a chance to taste a bit of the local culture.
China is a very specific country. It has its unique cuisine, it is difficult to communicate here, as well as to connect to the internet, but it also has a beautiful and rich history and culture, interesting cities and architecture and lots of other things to see.
Many thanks to those who kept their fingers crossed for me.
