URBAN, MOUNTAIN AND TREKKING DOWN JACKETS
03. 12. 2018
Whether you go trekking in the mountains, alpine touring or into the city on a frosty day, in a down jacket you will feel comfortable and pleasantly warm. Downy feathers are a particularly popular filling material for jackets and sleeping bags. They are used because of their high heat insulation, which ensures the preservation of the core body temperature.
Here are our Kilpi 2018/19 Winter Collection down jackets. High-quality downy feathers, together with durable materials and a smart design make them a must-have part of your equipment for a broad range of activities.
A down jacket made for the most extreme conditions
Edmon down jackets protect you against the cold and frost thanks to their goose-down feather filling (filling power of 650 cuin) and the material called Siberium DWR WB, which is windproof, airated and water resistant due to the surface finish. The jacket is extremely lightweight (200 g) so you will hardly feel you have it on. During both travelling and sport, it will keep you warm and cosy and can be packed into a small bag. This jacket was an essential part of the Kilpi Racing Team ultra-runner Michal Činčiala’s equipment at the 400km race in the Chinese Gobi desert, a part of which was an ascend into the Tibetan mountains.
Svalbard down jacket
The SVALBARD jacket is filled with down feathers at the 90/10 ratio, thanks to which, you will be provided with extremely high heat insulation even in freezing cold weather. The jacket has an adjustable hood, two main zipped pockets, an elastic sleeve hem and an adjustable bottom hem. It is lightweight and easy to pack, which will be appreciated especially when travelling, alpine touring or mountain climbing, which is confirmed by Daniela Kroulíková, who is attempting to climb the 7 highest summits of every individual continent, a challenge called the 7 SUMMITS. Another Kilpi Racing Team member, Dalibor Konečný, also made use of the features of this jacket and took it along with him while exploring the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.
An elegant and practical 3-layer jacket, Ivar.
The Ivar jacket is made up of two parts - an overcoat, made of a triple membrane material called SIBERIUM DWR WB and a light, inner jacket, which is filled with goose-down feathers.
The outer layer reliably protects you from the cold and moisture. It has taped seams, water-resistant zippers, an elongated shaped cut, a high collar to protect your neck against frost and a removable adjustable hood. The inner jacket also has a high collar and two zipped pockets. When undressing, it is held in place thanks to zippers and special loops on the cuffs which connect it to the overcoat. Both parts of the Ivar jacket can be worn separately.
