Alois Kuna has tested the Kilpi GEARS-M men's running leggings for you.
Kilpi GEARS-M running leggings test
At the beginning of winter, I got my hands on new Kilpi GEARS-M running pants. I have run a few kilometers in them and I can safely say that this is a very successful piece of clothes. Up till now I have changed a lot of pants from different manufacturers and GEARS-M leggings are a great change. The OPTI-DRY material with the grid structure which the pants are made of is a completely different level than the classic "elastics". The pants wrap around the legs and literally create a second skin. I have tested them in temperatures ranging from minus five to plus fifteen degrees and I have always felt high running comfort.
The end of the pants legs without a zipper makes it very pleasant to wear. The pants are long enough not to roll up as well as elastic enough to hug the leg tightly. This eliminates the unpleasant zipper, which often causes creasing of the pants legs and it is a risky element of this part of the equipment from the point of view of its durability. Another comfortable element is the high waist which prevents the pants from slipping even with the fully used pockets which it is equipped with. One pocket for storing more valuable things is zipped and the others are elastic but nothing can fall out of them either. I must not forget to mention the silicone strips at the top of the thighs, which prevent the hands from slipping when engaged in sharp ascents. Reflective logos on the calves are a matter of greater safety when running, of course.
